LOGLINE
After the death of their mother, three sisters try to figure out how to move on with their lives.
Set in the California high desert and centered around four biracial siblings, “Like Animals” is a modern-day reimagining of Chekhov’s “Three Sisters.” Isolated from their community and unsuited for desert life, the titular three sisters find themselves stuck in a hometown meant to be temporary. Their mother’s death is a catalyst for change and the sisters are suddenly free to leave. But their plans are interrupted when the prodigal son and executor of the estate returns home.
